North Penn High School, 2002

Dan always had a passion for sports growing up and loved the team aspects and competition of Track and Field, Cross Country, and Soccer. Dan is extremely grateful to the coaches he was fortunate enough to have throughout his time at North Penn. They nurtured his development as an athlete and went beyond as mentors to him as a person. They played a big part in his life and imparted many valuable life lessons that he is thankful of to this day. He considers himself very fortunate to have so many great athletes on his teams to push him and try to excel in each sport.

Dan attended The Pennsylvania State University on a partial Track & Field Scholarship. Dan lettered 4 years in Indoor and Outdoor Men’s Track & Field in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. Dan was a key contributor for Penn State in the Indoor and Outdoor Big Ten Conference Championships and IC4A Indoor Championships in Boston from 2003 to 2006. Dan was part of a 4x800m relay team that won the Sea Ray Relays in Tennessee and Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden in 2004. Dan was also the 800m leg for the Distance Medley Relay team that qualified for the NCAA Championship in 2004. Dan graduated Penn State with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Electrical Engineering.

As an adult, Dan values the immense amount of time, travelling, and unwavering support that his parents, Rick and Debbie, have showed him throughout his life. He loves them very much for giving him the love and support he needed to be where he is today. Dan remembers his time at North Penn very fondly. He will never forget the roar of the crowd at the Penn Relays when his Distance Medley Relay team won or the feeling of pride and accomplishment as North Penn stood as a team after winning the State Championship in

2002. Today, Dan is an Electrical Engineer working for the Military Sealift Command, Department of the Navy in Norfolk, VA. He currently lives in Virginia Beach and was lucky enough to marry his wife Samantha in April, 2016. Dan commented, “It’s an honor to be welcomed into such a great group of athletes and I hope I can continue to represent North Penn and the community with great pride and success” as he is honored to become a member of the North Penn Athletic Association Hall of Fame.
