Daniel is honored to be part of the 2015 class of inductees being elected into the North Penn Athletic Hall of Fame. He was the first NPHS wrestler to be called up from the junior high level to participate on the NPHS varsity program enabling him to win 4 wrestling varsity letters.   He was a four-time Sectional Champion, three-time District 1 Champion and three-time Southeast Regional Champion and took home the 1987 Southeast Regional Outstanding Wrestler honors. He was the wrestling program’s first 100th win wrestler and was a three-time PIAA State place winner. He earned 4th and 6th place medal honors at the PIAA State Championships and won the 1987 PIAA State Champion title at 112lbs. That 1987 title contributed to the team’s securing the wrestling program’s only PIAA Wrestling Team State Championship. Dan was previously elected to the North Penn Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the 1987 PIAA State Championship Team in 2007. Dan was also elected in 1999 to the District 1 Wrestling Hall of Fame. Dan compiled an overall career record of 123-13-1.

After graduation, Dan accepted a wrestling scholarship to participate in NCAA Division I athletics for Rider University where he was a four-time Rider University letter winner, two-time NCAA Division I Qualifier, and two-time NCAA Division I East Coast Conference Champion. While at Rider University, Dan compiled a record of 98-23 and received two Bachelors of Science degrees, one in Organizational Behavior & Management and one in Human Resource Management. Upon graduation, Dan accepted the Assistant Wrestling Coach position from Drexel University 1995-1997.

 

Dan currently lives in Massachusetts with his lovely wife Laura and his two wonderful children, Hayden Caesar and Preston Joseph Finacchio. He has had the great privilege to travel extensively with work and his family and has visited multiple countries and six of the seven continents. Dan currently serves as the Vice President of Global HR Operation for the TJX Companies and also enjoys being a mentor for the ‘Year Up’ Program in Providence, Rhode Island.
